AMA Winter Educators Conference 2017

Better Marketing for a Better World

Orlando Florida, Feb 17 – 19, 2017

The 2017 AMA Winter Educators’ Conference will be held in sunny Orlando, Florida from February 17th to the 19th. There are several outstanding consumer behavior sessions, including sessions on mobile and digital consumers, consumer engagement, consumer welfare, food consumption and choice, and much more. You can see the entire conference program here.

What Makes a Contribution to (Consumer) Research?

Debbie MacInnis and Matthew Lunde have created a fantastic pre-conference workshop at the Winter Educators’ Conference. Success at publishing an article in consumer behavior (and marketing generally) is often contingent on the extent to which the work contributes to theory or practice. But the rules for (a) what constitutes a “contribution”, (b) how to find one, and (c) how to articulate it to reviewers are often implicit. Making these issues explicit is critical for all authors. Eileen Fischer, Chris Janiszewski, and Page Moreau will be speaking at this exciting event. Although they are consumer research experts, their talks are pertinent to the entire discipline of marketing; and hence fit the conference theme’s “big tent” perspective. Check out the details on this session here.

Please join us at the CB SIG reception at the AMA Winter Educators’ Conference, Saturday February 18th from 5:00-6:00 as we honor Don Lehmann with the CBSIG Lifetime Achievement Award and Lauren Grewal and Li Huang on their CBSIG Rising Star Awards!
